April 4, 2026 (TBC) Public reading of Martin Luther King's "Beyond Vietnam" speech on or about April 4 the 59th anniversary of the speech and 58th anniversary of King's assassination. This speech, totally relevant to today, explores in detail the causes, consequences and meaning of the U.S. war on Vietnam, ties three evils - greed, racism and war - and proposes that we must fight against all three together. It got King into a lot of hot water from the U.S. establishment, which told him to stay in his corner of civil rights and has ever since tried to make the speech go away.
Flyer on Tax Day on April 15. We hand out fliers in different locations and speak to taxpayers about where their taxes go, by far mostly to weapons and wars now with a huge amount to domestic militarization and ICE, and where they would like the money to go.
